BROOKLYN — A man wanted for fatally shooting a 17-year-old man outside East New York’s Pink Houses Saturday night surrendered to police because he heard the NYPD “would treat him fairly,” law enforcement officials said.

DeAndre Hoster , 28, was charged with murder and criminal use of a firearm for fatally shooting Kalen Emanuel Griffith outside of Jordan's building at 1308 Loring Ave., near Eldert Lane, at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 30, the NYPD said.

Kalen was wounded in the shoulder as he and his friend tried to run for cover, police said.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital but couldn’t be saved.

Jordan surrendered at the 75th Precinct with a pastor by his side, police said.

He was awaiting arraignment Sunday.

Police are still looking for another man in connection with the shooting.
