Hamilton and Trenton to Annex New Miami Schools

In lieu of recent financial and legal troubles Hamilton and Trenton have each been approached by the state to annex New Miami School District. After getting dealt an unfavorable settlement by the courts in law suit regarding speed cameras the village is unable to financially maintain its school district as the village is facing repaying drivers who were ticketed over 3 million dollars. Trenton has accepted an offer to annex the school district on the east side of the railroad tracks which includes Williamsdale and Overpeck. Hamilton has accepted an offer to annex the west side of the railroad tracks which includes The Village of New Miami, Cherokee Park and City View Heights. The K-12 building that New Miami uses located at 600 7 Mile Ave in Hamilton will be used by Hamilton Schools for a TBD campus. Both offers may be contigent on the Federal Courts dismissing the financial settlement against the Village.
