Blackbeard’s Hot Grub Sauce was created solely to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the death of the most infamous pirate captain of them all, Edward Teach aka Blackbeard the Pirate off Ocracoke Island, NC in the year 1718.
This small-batch, hand-crafted gourmet hot sauce is made from only the finest and freshest ingredients like the varietal of hot peppers that are grown on the family pepper farm in Georgia. It is the culmination of more than more than 25 years of hot sauce creation and experimentation by the fine folks at Donkey Boy Pepper Products. The hand-picked hot peppers ferment for up to a year in a smoked sea salt/fresh garlic and Riesling wine brine which turns to vinegar when the fermentation is complete.
