After a legislative battle in the Connecticut state legislature, Senator Thomas Collins (R. Newtown) and Senate minority whip Almah Matter (D. New Haven) announced new state aid to Reiki Practioner startups locating the the New London County area.
When asked for comment, Sen Collins remarked "We need this kind of community investment and the State should be the one to do it.". Sen Matter was similarly upbeat about the success of the new proposal, remarking "The time has come, and we did it as a cooperative, bi-partisan group.".
Governor Dannel Malloy (D) was unavailable for comment due to a medical emergency to remove his head from his unmentionables.
