(Yakima, WA) AP - Today an old hoax was finally exposed. An elder Yakima man, Mr. Robert Gymlin, longtime local cowpoke and horsebreaker, admitted that it all started when he decided to prank him somewhat gullible and overly enthusiastic friend. Roger Patterson, for whom the famous film he shot is named, was a long-time believer in the creature known as "Big Foot." Along with his neighbor, going only by "Bob H." Gymlin arranged for their ape-man suit to be present when Mr. Patterson would have his camera ready on a trip to Blood Creek, CA. The rest, as they day, is history, or the semblance thereof. "I decided to come clean just this week," said Mr. Gymlin. "Doing this for the memory of Roger just didn't make sense anymore. And there are just to many Bigfoot conferences for me to keep up with anymore, by golly." Roger Patterson died in 1972, but is to this day thought of fondly by his onetime neighbors.
