Rapper "Kae-z" from Massachusetts has been releasing tons of quality music and videos the past few years. When contacted recently via email from an A&R it did not go well. They first asked for a deal in which Kae-z would not own his own publishing and would need to complete 3 albums before the contract was over. He replied "I am not willing to sell my soul and become property of the public and possibly stay in a loop where you don't certify any of my albums towards the contract, I also know the advance is exactly that, an advance, I would need to pay it back while supporting my entire career in debt, I am building my own brand 'penny and a dream' so I'm all set, follow us tho"
It's rumored that the A&R did not reply but did in fact receive the reply. Do you think Kae-z made a grave mistake?
