The series Dragonball Super began airing in japan in July 2015, almost 20 years after it last aired. Fans loved the series so much there was a resurgence in popularity for the anime classic. Dragonball Super ended in March of 2018 and there were more games that were made like the beloved Xenoverse series and Dragonball FighterZ. There is even a new movie set to be released in theaters in December 2018 in Japan and January internationally.
After much deliberation about the future of the series, creator Akira Toriyama and Toei animation announced that there will be a new Dragonball series set to air in Japan called Dragonball Ultra to go along with their naming theme. Toriyama stated that this new series will continue where the tournament of power left off and he said Broly from the new movie may or may not appear in the first arc, which he says will involve the angels and Gods of destruction.
Toriyama and Toei animation stated in an interview that Dragonball Ultra will start airing in the spring of 2019 so fans should be excited. They also commented on the animation style and said that it will be the same style as the Broly movie so fans should get excited and that the "best is yet to come!"
Dragonball fans have much to look forward to in the years to come with a new series, new arcs, and new video games!
