Get ready to go back to the past! After Phil Demmel quit Machine Head as their guitarist of 15 years, most fans thought a Vio-Lence reunion would happen one day!

And it is! Four-fifths of the classic Vio-Lence lineup — Demmel, frontman Sean Killian, bassist Deen Dell and drummer Perry Strickland — have confirmed that they will be resurrecting the band for a series of occasional shows and they are in talks of supporting Overkill on the latter's "Wings of War" tour in the West Coast this summer or fall.

The band has yet to reveal who is going to replace their other guitarist Robb Flynn, who is not interested in a Vio-Lence reunion and wants to move forward with Machine Head. The members have stated, however, that they don't rule out working with him again but understand his choices.

As for the possibility of reuniting on a permanent basis, the band will consider writing new material and touring global if the comeback shows go well.
