Facebook has partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Intelligence Administration in efforts to update their global Facial Recognition Software, January 25, 2019. In efforts to speed up the progress, The FBI and CIA will be scanning Facebook profiles for your most recent profile pictures to update their data bases. There are no privacy policies that stop this from happening as Facebook is a public social media outlet. FOX32 recommends to keep this from happening, remove your profile picture and replace it with something other than your face during the scanning process. Facebook has stated that you own all of the content and information you post on Facebook and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings, but will grant the FBI and CIA access on this day only.
