On Monday June 10 at 6:15 am, Jan Frezno said that she was walking up the back trails and then spotted what looked like a big spotted dog. Jan said, “ I thought it was a dog so I went to go get it see if it was lost but there wasn’t anyone around. But when I got closer it started to hiss, so my first thought was it’s a bobcat. So I started to walk away slowly and calmly, but when I did it started chasing me and I ran as fast as I could until I made it to a bathroom to call the police...”
When the police got there the animal was roaming around and then they tranquilized the bobcat and the Tuscarawas county animal control took it into their hands. And now the animal was taken to the Akron Wildlife Center to be healthy and recover. When you go to Akron you can visit the bobcat that is now named Bolt. So go visit Bolt in his new habitat where he can’t harm anything or anyone.
If you see any other animal or thing around please call the Dover police so they can get it under control!
