JAMUL (CNS) - A masked man robbed a 7-Eleven outside El Cajon at gunpoint early Saturday, a sheriff's sergeant said.
The robber pointed a black gun at a clerk at the convenience store at 1498 Jamacha Road about 1:30 a.m. and demanded money, sheriff's Sgt. Victor Rivera said.
The suspect grabbed money from the cash drawer then ran off, Rivera said.
Responding deputies searched for the suspect using a helicopter, but could not find him, according to Rivera.
Sheriff's officials described the suspect as wearing a mask, a black jacket and jeans.
