Minecraft 1.15 - The Nether Update

Jeb Bergenstein has officially confirmed that 1.15 will be a Nether Update. It is called “Nether Forever” and will feature new mobs, food, and of course blocks!
Jeb has announced that some of the new blocks will include Soul Sandstone and Soul Sandstone Bricks.
We don’t know much about the mobs but we do know there is some form of Nether Spider being planned.
And lastly is a sort of Nether Berry. The Nether Berry will give you 10 Seconds of Fire Resistance and has been described as The Nether’s equivalent to The End’s Chorus Fruit.
According to leakers there is a possibly of up to 7 new hostile mobs! That will more than double the hostile mobs in The Nether. Other leaks suggest that Nether Quartz will pick up a brand new use, will it be armor? Brewing? Something entirely new? We’ll find out this September at Minecon Live.
