Cheyenne Ebersole, 16 of Trevorton Pennsylvania has been shot after approaching a helpless man on route 225. Earlier that day before the incident had occurred Cheyenne had seen the man begging for loose change from pedestrians as they walked past. Kelly Ebersole, mother of Cheyenne had reported Cheyenne missing at approximately 2:57 pm. Search parties were sent out and there were also fliers and a cash reward posted all over the district. We sat down and discussed the matter with local officer, officer Brians. “I had revived multiple phone calls regarding Cheyenne’s disappearance from the search parties we had sent out, and also local neighbors, family, and friends”. Explains officer Brians . “I had revived a call around 3:04 pm from a neighborhood family friend. He had explained to me that he had seen Cheyenne walking by herself, he had figured she was on her way to Angie’s Market on route 225. When I asked him why he assumed that he had told me that he sees her there often to run grocery errands. At 3:10 pm a shot rang through the whole town of trevorton. We had Immediately rushed to the scene of where a small crowd began to gather on the street. Cheyenne have been laying on the sidewalk gasping for air. As soon as we had arrived we had noticed the two bullet shots to her upper left shoulder. We had immediately rushed her to Hershey Medical Center. A witness had arrived at the hospital and had told us that she was last seen speaking to a strange man asking her for money. “All that I witnessed was I heard yelling outside of my room I had looked out the window and I seen this man attacking us little girl. Suddenly he had pulled a gun and was asking for all of her money and any valuable item she had on hand. As I rushed down the stairs of my house I had heard two loud gunshots. As I walked out my door I seen the girl had been laying on the sidewalk. I had to rush into Angie’s market to ask if anyone knew about the situation or the man in general”. Officer Brian’s and his team have asked around since the shooting to see if anyone recognized or found the man familiar, no one had seemed to know him. Further information will be later posted at an later date as soon as Officer Brian’s and his team do further investigations.
