Britpop legend Noel Gallagher was reportedly attacked by a 32 year old man, near an airport.
The former Oasis star just wanted to enjoy a week vacation in the capital of his home England, when the holiday turned into a nightmare within a few seconds. Apparently someone jumped him out of nowhere, in an alley right outside the Heathrow airport, holding a knife and asking him for money. The attacker was seemingly a stalker of some sort, since he knew his adress and threatend to ruin his life if he'd ever stop making music. Noel allegedly handed over his purse immeditaly out of fear the assaulter would hurt his daughter Anaïs, who was also there. Luckily airport security got there fast and arrested the young man, Noel got away wih a shock, a black eye and an empty purse.
He writes on Twitter: "Man the world is wild. Some random weirdo just attacked me with a knife, punched me in the eye and stole my money. I'm relieved nothing serious happend to my daughter or me. We're still shocked, life can change in a moment, it's unbelievable."
Some other musicians have already mentioned their relief over Noels well being and even his brother Liam Gallagher (who's been "nothing but trouble", and whose ongoig brotherly feud has shaken generations) tweeted a "Glad you two are ok. You really need to watch out better mate."
The singer is now back home in Manchester with his family.
