Local Arklow man Brian “bless us and save us” Davis of no fixed abode has scooped up €11 million euro in Wednesday nights draw.
A family spokesperson said: "This is unbelievable. It will take us some time to get our heads around Brian being loaded."
The spokesperson, who is Brian’s sister, added: "We are a very close family.however Brian was always a bit strange but now he is our favourite.
"This is a dream come true for us. We don't want this to change our lives.
Brian told the National Lottery that he realised the Gin Mills good fortune when he checked the winning ticket after last night's draw.
he said: "I heard on the RTÉ News that there was a win in Ireland and I caught the last three numbers.
"I checked the rest of the numbers online. I was numb! I nearly crashed the van.It took a bit of convincing everybody that we had won."

"I didn't sleep a wink all night!" he said.
The winning ticket is now in the hands of the National Lottery while it works out arrangements for Brian to collect his winnings.
It will take the lottery a number of days to collect the jackpot from the other competing lotteries across Europe.
