On a sunny Sunday afternoon in Oxnard, California a teenage boy by the name of Jovany Macias was shot and killed in a deadly drive by. Jovany Macias was walking to a near by friends house to hang out, what he didn’t know was that he was being followed. Witnesses claim to see a suspicious black Honda civil passing though the apartment complex before the shooting. The suspect escaped as soon as the third shot was fired. As soon the first shot was fired a witness call opd (Oxnard police department). The police was given access to security cameras; the cameras show an all black car with 3 people inside. A suspect was seen pulling a gun on Jovany and was seen the suspect pulling the trigger. The officers search for the licenses plate, the driver was soon found, the suspect who shot and killed 14 year old Jovany was found and sentenced with adult charges; was charged for murder and grand theft auto. The suspect is now behind bars for 2 years in juvenile hall also 19 years in state prison, will also have parol for 3 years.
