Hong Kong to suspend new driving licenses for all foreigners

As counteracting measure following the violent protests against China government which are shaking the financial place since the second semester of 2019, Hong Kong local government indicated today that no more driving license will be issued to foreigners living in the Chinese SAR.
All on-going applications are suspended from January 10th, 2020 and not new submissions will be accepted until further notice.
"Our duty is to protect our people and citizens, by this measure we are confident to better control the traffic and people circulation within our frontiers to limit the acts of violence that we are experiencing for 6 months", announced today Robert L Wok, President of the Hong Kong Traffic and Regulation Bureau.
