Amazon is hiking up prices of the individual plan from £9.99 (and its U.S. equivalent) to £19.99 a month (and its U.S. equivalent.

This is due to the service not being the most popular, falling behind Prime Music, Spotify and Music Unlimited Echo Plan. Amazon has released a statement on the price increses.
"A lot of us are not using Amazon Music Unlimited's individual plan and instead of advertising it, we will hike it up. Customers have 30 days to cancel their plans or downgrade to the echo plan. There's no point in advertising as there are countless other services out there."

Angry customers said that they will not pay amazon for their music but use Spotify, link up Spotify to their Echo and even set it as the default music service.
Other customers are returning Amazon products.
Others chose to downgrade to the Echo Plan.
