A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of prominent Toronto lawyer Frank Addario. According to a spokesperson for Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General, the warrant, issued by Attorney General Dave Downey, is not in connection with any federal offence. This has raised speculation that Addario has provoked the ire of the Attorney General by criticizing him in an op ed published today in the national edition of Toronto’s Glob ‘n Male newspaper. The Ministry spokesperson clarified that Addario should simply turn himself in to police where he will have the opportunity to “show cause for his actions and be judged accordingly.” More to follow.
