This morning Governor Cooper announced, in an early morning press conference, a new executive order that will pause all alcohol sales effective 5pm today. This order will be in effect for 30 days, but may be extended to 60 days if needed. This order closes all state ABC stores, along with stopping beer and wine sales in grocery stores.
