Trumansburg, NY: The Trumansburg Board of Education took a vote this past Monday, March 30, 2020, stating that all classes will resume on June 16th. According to the school calendar June 16th is that last day of classes for 9-12 before June’s Regents week. They are also planning on pushing the class of 2020 commencements back to a later date.
Superintendent Kimberly Bell stated “We know how hard our students and their parents have been working, as well as our faculty and staff. Therefore we would like to give them a break.”
Bell also understands that students and staff are still trying to get used to the new format of school and recognizes the excellence our faculty, staff, and students are showing through this hard time.
“I have faith that our students will get through this time. All they need is the courage” Bell stated at the BOE Meeting Monday Night.
The next TCSD BOE Meeting will be Monday, April 13, 2020.
