David Baszucki, CEO of the online game ROBLOX, has been thinking about shutting down the platform after the COVID19 pandemic. He stated that ever since COVID19 started, they have lost the streak in sales for the virtual currency, ROBUX. There has been way more players. Almost too many, Baszucki claims. He states there’s been many game crashes because of it and too many bugs to fix. Their team can’t get together during the pandemic, which creates more hazards, Baszucki says. “We have seen the amount of bots, scammers and child predators increase dramatically. And it’s not safe for young children anymore unless we are able to come together and fix this.” Baszucki is not able to pay the ROBLOX staff team correctly anymore, with the decrease of ROBUX payments to help the corporation survive. Which results on ROBLOX losing team members. David Baszucki Tweeted about the ROBLOX closure plan. “Hello fellow ROBLOX players. At the end of COVID19, ROBLOX will be officially closing down due to decrease of ROBUX payments, bad people and uncontrollable game crashes and problems. Therefore ROBLOX will close. Thank you for playing!” He stated in his tweet. If you play ROBLOX, be on the lookout for the closure!
