On August 9th, at arround 11:48 PM, CPD stormed Keith Cozart’s (Chief Keef) residence and was found dead of a fentanyl laced cocaine overdose. When the police and ambulance got there they found him lying dead on the ground, dead with 2 bags filled of fentanyl laced cocaine and found even more inside his pockets, he was carrying over 6 grams of the drug. Before anything, an anonymous caller contacted the police department, concerned, and told them that they saw a person falling on the ground with a bag filled with something that looked like cocaine.
It wasn't obvious at first that Cozart was dead so he was rushed to the ER, given Narcan but it was too late. He was pronounced dead at exactly 12:33 AM, Keith was dead for over 2 hours until he was found dead. It took an estimated 45 minutes to identify the body and confirm it was indeed Keith’s. After investigating more, the police found fingerprints that belonged to his close friend, Durk Derrick Banks (Lil Durk). He has been arrested in suspicion of giving Keith the laced cocaine. Keith was 24 years of age.
