The frontman, better know for his bands, Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer, Maynard James Keenan and Fiona Apple made an announcement today via Unknown Music page. Keenan and Apple have said to have admired each other’s work for a long time, in how they approach music. They both reached out to each other thanks for both mutual friends of theirs that one of them wanted to chat together. Both artists than reached out again and said that they wanted to collaborate on a project. It only took about a month to discuss about how the project would be approached from both artists.

For 3 months, the album all recorded in secrecy to the public, until today. Maynard and Apple have stated that this project could take up to 15 years, if not more to get finished. It is no surprise to us, given that Maynard and Fiona are known for taking years and even decades to finally get albums done. Keenan and Apple will take compromises in order to get it done, which would mean it will stop progress for their main works. We’re looking forward to finding out when we’ll hear the new music!

April fools!!
