A local man from Bristol, TN set a new state record Monday morning After a grueling hour long battle he landed this massive catfish. Wesley says that he fishes the lake on a regular basis and usually catches catfish all throughout the day that range from a couple of pounds to 10-15lbs, but he never imagined he would be battling a 150 pound monster. For bait Wesley said that he was using bait shad that he always uses on every trip on a Carolina rig and at first he thought he had just caught another snag until the beast took off running.
