THE search for Fetty Wap's killer has ramped up in Paterson as the embattled city deals with a wave of shootings that have prompted some lawmakers to call for a curfew.
A search is currently underway for the shooter, but no suspect information has been made available, police said. The shooting took place at a local gas station on 10-18th avenue. “The tragic shooting death of rap artist Fetty Wap serves as another reminder of the pain that violent crime brings with it,” said Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh in a statement. “My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.” A possible curfew might be placed in the city as Rep Bill Pascrell Jr tweeted that he is suggesting to the city council to implement one. This situation is very similar to what happened after 36 year old rapper Young Dolph was shot dead just days before thanksgiving. Mayor Sayegh has yet to announce if a curfew will be placed in the city.
