"Ludicrous", says Illinois Athletic Director Josh Whitman when asked about Senior manager Andrew Kufrin skipping class on Thursday. No, it wasn't Senior Skip Day, rather it was one of the biggest assignments to date in BADM 329. Unfortunately for Kufrin, he was not there to complete it.
The NCAA has found out about the actions from Kufrin, launching an investigation into the Quality Control of the Illini program. Kufrin is currently appealing his University-mandated 4 game suspension for the Manager Games season. What could this mean down the road? The pick and pop, rim-running 5 man has put his team under duress during a critical conference stretch. When asked about his behavior, Kufrin said he, "Doesn't Care". Local message boards have spread rumors of frustration within the locker room after this comment-we cannot confirm. The program is hoping Kufrin will improve, not skipping a beat after his dreaded suspension.
We will continue to update this story as time goes on.
