Formula 1 is set to ban fans from attending the Belgian GP due to the protest risk over the likely removal of the race from 2023 onwards.
The 2022 Belgian GP is set to be the last-ever Belgian GP as Kyalami, Las Vegas, Qatar and China look to return to the calendar in 2023.
Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, said: "Due to the high risk of protests regarding Spa's possible removal, we have taken the decision to not allow any fans at the Belgian GP to minimise the protests.
"Spa has the history and prestige and it is not enough to remain on the calendar and therefore we are looking to replace it with Kyalami.
"The likely decision we will make to replace the race with the South African Grand Prix at Kyalami has been accelerated by the washout of 2021 and Masi's mishandling of the 2021 Belgian GP and we don't want to risk any more washouts in Spa.
