With the larger freshman class, President Capilouto announced on October 26, 2022 that the spring semester of 2023 will be extended by 2 weeks. Capilouto said it was due to the large freshman class that was let in and "...there are not enough Professors teach 3 classes each week. Now each Professor will teach 2 classes a week, with an extension of 2 more weeks of classes in Spring of 2023."
Junior student, Zach Parks said "it is unfair to the upperclassman to deal with the mistake of the University letting too many freshman in, so we should get out 2 weeks earlier than the freshman."
Multiple students have complained to the University saying it is unfair. There is a conference being held by President Capilouto this coming Monday. More news to come.
