A recent leak from a source inside Epic Games has had the media going crazy. The leak was first posted on Friday and since then it has been shared over a 10 million times. The fact that it was on social media has some people suspicious and unbelieving but the truth is that you cannot ignore what was inside this post.
It reads " Watch out all you Fortnite players. There is dark truth being hidden from you. Be careful...". This came as a big shock to many avid Fortnite players. The company responsible for creating the extremely popular video game, Epic Games, responded to this frenzy on the Sunday after the warning was posted. They said " This post is completely untrue and we are currently trying to find the person responsible for this viral lie.". This post just prompted more questions and conspiracys. Who was responsible for this? Why did Epic Games actually care? If it was a lie then wouldn't they be fine with it?
Then a crazy but possible conspiracy started circulating. A popular conspiracy account on Twitter, Conspiracycats, posted this theory a few days after the post started to go viral. It claims that Epic Games is secretly an undercover criminal gang. It is backed up with quite a bit of evidence, all coming from reliable sources. It says that Epic stands for Evil People In Crime. Crazy, right! But it also says that Fortnite promotes many bad values. Shooting, stealing, murder etc. Some people may say "well, Fortnite is not as bad as many other video games including games like C.O.D. and Mortal Kombat ." We were some of them. But according to this theory, that is exactly right. It is animated. It is not realistic. That means that it will be even more popular because parents will buy it. It is ingenious.
So is Fortnite run by a criminal gang? Welll we have no confirmation BUT we do have a pretty convincing theory and some reliable sources. So maybe.
