Cape Charles (VA) - The Bay Creek Golf Resort, located in Cape Charles, Virginia, will close at the end of the year unless new capital investment can be found.
On Thursday, Troon Golf Management decided not to renew their operating agreement with course operators Arnold Palmer Golf & Jack Nicklaus Golf and to end the existing management agreement of the golf course at the end of this year.
The golf course management agreement expires in 2020, however Troon has decided to end the management agreement early for fear that the resort is about to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Arnold Palmer & Jack Nicklaus Golf have the choice of closing the courses indefinitely, or keeping them open until the end of the year if new capital can be obtained.
