In 2019, Overall Creek Elementary School staff were severely disciplining students by forcing them to take laps at recess, then get virtual points taken away from them. How this can happen is because of one talking to their peers just when they're 12 centimeters from the recess door.
Mr. Bartch is the principal of this school, or i should say, principle, since Bartch is not your "pal"
"We have to take action against students who are overly breaking the rules," remarked Bartch, "That includes taking virtual points away from them. "
There has been evidence from a 11 year old boy in 5th grade who has seen the music teacher at their school, Mrs. Gordon, use violence toward a child in Kindergarten. The child got punch marks, and severe bruises. Bartch surely allows this, because he has not taken action to that teacher.
"Since we are dedicating half of their childhood to working, we can do whatever we want with them." said the 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Bergeron.
For a few days, the lunch moderators have been doing silent lunches, just because they want to.
"Its fun when you can get to crush children's souls and personalities, especially when you're an adult." said Mrs. Gillum.
Staff at this school have also been more polite to girls than boys. The PE teacher, Mr. Hoyt, announces girls first to line up and get water after P.E. Girls at the lunch table are four times as likely to get "otter paws" to reward them just because they're girls.
"Girls are better than boys," said Dr. C, another 5th grade teacher, "So we reward girls better than boys. Balanced, as all things should be."
These "virtual points" are from ClassDojo, where you can give or take points based on another persons behavior. The entire school is doing "houses" where they get different rewards based on how good they are. Most of these points come from the "otter paws" where they're redeemable from points. As we already mentioned, schools value girls better than boys, so the girl's houses have better ratios for the rewards.
This must be stopped, with girls having more valye and punching. I was absolutely horrified when I saw these events happening. 5th grade is doing an "Article of the week" where teachers get an article and force children to read and answer questions, as well as determine importance, write the summary and central idea. It must be stopped. This might be another article, im sure of.
