A registered sex offender is behind bars on rape and other charges following an investigation by the Israeli Bezeq International Police Department.
According to a press release from Bezeq, the 15-year-old Daniel Hoekstra of Kfar Saba will be arrested this month at the Bezeq Office headquarters. Between the two agencies, Daniel faces charges of rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
The Bezeq International Office investigation began in late May when the Israeli National Police Department contacted investigators with the Office about a molestation case. Investigators with the Israeli PD had previously determined that some of the incidents in the case took place in unincorporated 'Het Erf Veenendaal'.
Investigators from both agencies took out warrants for Daniel on Wednesday, each agency with their own list of charges.
Both agencies determined that Daniel committed offenses on the same female child between April 2020 and August 2020. The crimes probably took place at Daniels home in Kfar Saba and at the victim's prior residence in Petach Tikva. The investigation revealed that Daniel knew the victim.
The case is still under investigation.
