Informed sources at the Malta Lotteries Department have confirmed that Michael Saviour Buhagiar from Mowlta has won the European Lottery, worth €10 million. However, the joy was shortlived as both the European Government and the Malta Government informed him of the taxes he has to pay: €8 to Malta and €1.999999 million to the EU. We could not reach Mr Buhagiar for his comments. Neighbours told us that he was last seen running away in his car with €500 notes flying out of the car windows.
