Claude Julien was relieved of his duties as coach of the Montreal Canadiens early Monday morning. He will be replaced by Assistance Coach Kirk Muller.
Julien has a career 638-418-10-145 record coaching in the NHL. He won the Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011 and reached the Cup Final in 2013. He has since missed the playoffs in 4 of his last 5 seasons coaching, losing that one in the first round. He will be leaving with a 100-87-28 record in his second stint as the Habs head coach.
