Gov Pete Ricketts announced earlier this morning that there is serious consideration that Nebraska students will repeat second semester of current school year during the summer of 2020 as covid-19 slows down. Ricketts stated this is a likely outcome to keep our education system on track in the years to come.
"The education of Nebraska students is one of the differentiators for our state. We will stop at nothing to make sure that they are prepared and our quality of education is second to none." Ricketts stated in a press conference earlier today when asked why he was considering this unprecedented move.
