Breaking News: A fatal shooting in Yonkers, NY leave 17 teenagers and 4 adults dead , including 2 school age children, and the shooter.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, who was one of the first people to respond to the shooting, announced a curfew to prevent violence as news of the shooting was unfolding.
“As we witnessed earlier today, an inhumane act of violence has occurred in this community that has left 17 innocent lives lost and families shattered. I have declared a curfew for Yonkers residents, with the exception of those who must work, who have to commute to and from school and who work a job,” Spano said.
Spano also announced a vigil would be held tonight at 7 p.m. at Tuberville Field at Plumsted Playground.
Police are on the scene investigating the shooting at the Cross County Shopping Center. Officers have cordoned off the area.
PIX11 is reporting the video was posted online Friday afternoon.
The video shows a large group of teens talking in a park. Shots are fired, and they take off running.
