British villa holiday goers have been left shocked and out of pocket after villa holiday firm villa plus announced they have ceased trading with immediate effect. All 376 staff have lost their jobs. All holidays booked with villa plus are now in doubt while the travel agency CAA looks into the issue.
One holiday maker stated " its a shambles, we have booked a £4k holiday to menorca in October and we have lost this. The kids are devastated. My husband has left home due to the stress"
It remains to be seen if any holiday makers will receive any money back from the bust firm. There is currently 1476 people stranded abroad due to be rescued in the coming days.
